How does my garden grow?

Sprouting sweet peas, carrots and lettuce. At least THEY listen to me!
And as one of the songs on a children's folk music CD that I never really liked (but is immensely appropriate here) goes: "Inch by inch, row by row, gonna make this garden grow. All it takes is a rake and a hoe and a piece of fertile ground"

Yes Rachel--the flowers and the other plants also talk to me. But it really is all the birds (38 different kinds at last count) that listen to me--probably because they want to be fed. But to tell you the truth--a bird or a flower has never said anything hurtful or malicious to me--unlike some people I know.
